This will tell you about the Importance of safety in regards to the crowd control ; customer and participants.

Unit 1.1...

Examples of spectator events...                                            Festivals

Sports Matches/ events
                                                                Concerts                                                    Country Show

Crowd control:

If the correct techniques are put in place by stewards then the crowd wont be able to get out of hand easily. But without this the crowd can get out of control a lot easier such as pushing and shoving which can cause large public disorder.

Customer & participant experience:

The importance of the customer being and feeling safe at events is Paramount because the whole experience for the customer will be better rather than having the crowd in no order. This will make the event more enjoyable for stewards and spectators.

Safety and security of self, others and of venue:

Without stewards, property can get damaged such as toilets and other areas of venues that need manning so that disorder doesn't occur and cause further problems. If anything were to happen, stewards should be trained appropriately to deal with different problems that may occur.

The overall event can change from going smoothly to having a large disorder in seconds, this is why stewards have to be on guard at all times to prevent anything happening which will make the overall event a success for everyone involved.

Stewards should stick in groups in case of any problems occuring especially violent situations, for their own safety.

Stewards also need to ensure that spectators are as safe as they can possibly be so if anyone is a threat they need dealing with quickly and with least disruption as possible foe the event to go as smoothly as possible.

1.2 Describe the contribution that stewards make to the provision of safety and customer services

Stewards make many contributions at a public events such as football matches where they are in charge of crowd control throughout the game and also at half time and before and after the match.

If the correct technique is used by stewards they can be very powerful
and accertive without there actually being alot of them there.

Also that people are safe and if there are any issues that they have to deal with them appropriately and efficiently without too much disruption to others.
