3.5 & 3.6 outline the procedures that stewards should follow when they identify hazards.

3.5 outline the procedures that stewards should follow when they identify hazards.

When a steward founds a hazard it is his/hers job to deal with the problem. They should deal with it in a professional manner because they are under the watchful eye of the public. They should alert others, depending on how bad the situation is depends on who they should alert. They cordon the effected area off and close surrounding area to prevent anyone getting hurt or being put at risk. They should be able to evacuate people from the effected area to prevent injury or harm.

Stewards should be able to act quick and effectively when a hazard id spotted because they are there to prevent spectators or anyone else from getting hurt. They should act in a professional manner and be very alert and switched on.

3.6 outline the importance of stewards following procedures when they identify hazards.

stewards need to be very professional when dealing with hazards because they safety is very important to the steward and the people around them. They need to act in the appropriate manner to prevent panic and people being worried about the situation. If there is a hazard then it needs to be dealt with so that there is minimal risk of putting anybody in danger. If the hazard is too big to be dealt with just by the steward then they need to call for back up and inform the correct people/authorities.
