1.6
describe the procedures stewards should follow to supervise spectator movement
between different areas
stewards
should give correct information to the spectators that are present at the event
in order to make the event go smoothly. If the spectators are there the
stewards are meant to provide accurate and clear information and make sure that
people there know where they are going and where things are.
Spectators
will need to do their research on the event before they go on duty so that they
are able to pass the information on to people that are present at the event. If
the stewards don’t know their stuff then they won’t seem professional and they
will be but into a bad light.
1.7
outline why it is important for stewards to monitor their designated area
carefully
Stewards
need to pay attention at their desired positions because if they get something
wrong then the whole crowd could be at risk. Dangerous people could get into
the event and during big events even terrorists could get in at cause a lot of
trouble.
If
there are pay gates at the event stewards need to monitor it so that everyone
pays and nobody gets away without paying.
Also
steward need to stay alert at their designated area at a football match for
example just in case fans come and cause trouble. Stewards need to stay at
there told position so fans can’t gat through and so that they can direct
people away from the trouble.
1.8
describe the procedures stewards should follow to supervise spectator exit
Stewards
need to monitor their designated area and make sure there isn’t and trouble in
their area of operations. Because stewards monitor exits they need to be polite
when spectators are leaving the event. If they aren’t then the spectators may
not come back which will put the event in a bad light. A big part of stewarding
is communication because the spectators are customers which means they have
probably paid money to be there.
Stewards
also need to give directions to exits just in case of an emergency. If
spectators don’t know where the exits are then they could get trapped which
could potentially but them at risk of injury.

2.2.
describe the procedures stewards should follow when they identify illegal items
Stewards
have to follow procedures when an illegal items are found. They need to report
it straight away, and potentially confiscate it from who ever has possession of
it. They are to hand it in to the stewarding office so the police can pick it
up or they are to hand it straight to the police themselves. They should
contact the police straight away when they find an illegal item because it may
be dangerous or could have been involved in a criminal act.
